Today’s Passion…Tomorrow’s Pain

Patiently waiting yet time knows best

drifting away in those thoughts of an escape just to take away the stress

anxious as the clock ticks, although sitting on those jittery hands would probably be best

Life’s tests, the ebbs and flows, ups and downs…we’ve heard them all before

And the only guarantee is yup…I’ve seen exactly what’s in store

Am I restraining the wild child inside or it just my soul trying to endure just a little bit more of…

Todays Passion…knowing that it only leads thru the vestibule of tomorrow’s pain

The wind blowing East ripples the essence of your breast

Absence of your text reflects a thirst for your intellect, opinions, and gestures of your reception

Bathing your aura in laughter there’s no doubt how we’ve come this far in depth

Can we smile anymore not fret on the gloom or become saturated in the galore

Down that road we travel again at a cross of what’s right and what’s sane

without a shadow of doubt knowing….Today’s Passion, Tomorrow’s Pain….

No Man Life Waits For…

I guess it just means its been while
since I’ve been in touch with my soul
sometimes it takes you on a path of a new stroll
My mind has been in a gutter lately… you know,
yours apparently in the clouds
I think of you from time to time there among the stars
whispering inspiration through a breeze it seems
I can’t help but smile
For every now and then I reminded of the past
the bittersweet moments, the jokes, the laughs
The sidebars in life we often take for granted and let pass
the misdirection of our fate we hold steady and not crash
Life is like that sometimes we often forget to say goodbye
We learn to stay tough only to realize we’ve been soft all along
but in your absence its slightly harder to try
It’s a bit more difficult not hearing you disagree as usual
I think when I say if time could be reversed feelings are mutual
Yet deep down inside I could just be thinking overboard
Its that weird feeling every now and then like the blue in the moon
The tide being quiet and seemingly a bit more recessed
My legs felt numb and there was a crumble in my chest
like you still hear me when I whisper what’s next
What I’m trying to say I guess is things just haven’t been the same since you left…

Venoms of the Earth with agendas overdue,

prayers going up hoping the fires don’t engulf you.

The darkness of night wakes me today,

only cause survival reigned last night,

If I had to choose a side..I’d have to say win,

Funny how it tends to rhyme with sin.

Juxtapose

Sometimes  life comes unexpected
and when it does you gotta stay on your toes
and do something
All I know is I could never do nothing
it’s just not the way i was raised… see
I’m a hard worker who always worked faithfully
can’t say I’m married to long hours and change
but the fast paced brain wave patterns and thinkers in the range
firing off ideas and exploring things anew keeps a soul more
humble at ground level to me
Well wishes to the good spirits,
ones we’ve lost and some we’ve tossed in the wind too
those we buried times behind us and some of us just dumping the ashes away,
reminiscing on yesterday, not to say I’d go back well maybe a day or two
But I love the presence feel the essences, my senses tell me life is good..
and if I were to make amends with its end
I can say that…life is good
What else should we take from it aside from a little inspiration
maybe even a little purpose.

Essential Freedom (A Slave To Time)

I’m only a slave to time and if I could find it I’ll prove it to you

See today through to another, since the first out of the womb

In this life or the next maybe in ancient codes, or texts amidst darkened tombs

There is no way to escape it

Please don’t fret this is no complaint…I’m grateful for the insane

I mean unseen… kaleidoscopic daydreams and places I’ve went

That of which I am…plus some of which I ‘ain’t

In the flesh ridden physical, mental or clinical…blissful wishes and heartfelt sentiments

We are all slaves in time

Waking up means there’s a chance to do it again and if I don’t win

life’s focus would see making actions transpire and manifest to something come true

What must I do, when the day goes bored

I’m only a slave to time anyway

if I get a moment should I be guzzled in the fuss of petty lusts

knowing there is a soul mate that life says is destined for me

I’m only a slave to time

To ask me to demoralize, chastise, patronize, or simply sit aside

Is something I simply can’t abide

My master tells me it requires some action, maybe a little laughter

Pain in the book of life always seems to comes some point in the chapter

But its okay, everything succumbs to your presence anyway

Every second ticking by… reminding us of our fate

And if it doesn’t seem to go your way…just wait

Wearing you on our wrists, Quality you

Ripened in our minds to move faster and hurry hurry

Late for an appointment you missed it, setting times and dates just to marry

Letting it slip us by we feel beat…40 complete to close out another week

Sometimes I want to say no but without it I wouldn’t eat

Bonuses don’t balance out to all of those wasted hours in meetings you see

Don’t be confused just be…

Use it, don’t lose it

And if the opportunity comes it’s best not refuse it

There is no rewind in life

Just to say let it be mine would be absurd

It’s all in our mind as it stands over matter

But those delusions of grandeur need no thrive

We’re all slaves to time as long as we’re alive…

The Past is All Behind Me…

The past is all behind me as I look forward to another day
that means the tears and fears of yesterday have gone astray
Had many laughs, but an equal number of stabs…if not more
restored by faith, slowly pacing my way to something new
What does my future hold, as I bite my fist in regret to what I could do
reflecting on bullshit from the past leaves my stomach upset
Or better yet, with a bitter taste, wiping sweat from my brow
Grateful I made it through, cause I believe the time is now

The past is all behind me, I keep tellin’ myself
erasing contacts from my phone, delete…delete..delete all the drama from my buddy list
Some I could care less…others may God bless…they need it

I may miss a few but all in all it’s a reason I’m feelin’ like this
I asked God to send me a sign, He held His end, so now I have to do mine
The past is all behind, as I erase you from my mind, detox you from my body, and evaporate you from my soul
Like washing dishes, scrubbin’ floors, my chores have been completed
The bullshit people, places and things, I bid you farewell because I don’t need it
Please do believe it when I do say the past is all behind me…

Where Did My Sanity Go?

So I was having a good time then I realized I was all alone
Who told my sanity to leave or go home?
I mean he was the only friend I had in this world so cold
And when my motivation loses focus, my sanity says be bold
Damn…why did someone insult my mind to influence a departure
Of the only thing there as my friend, comrade, allowing me to be an author
When the pen hits the pad or the keystrokes equal something riveting
I feel good, but without it…my well-being is inhibited.

Who in the hell told my sanity to leave….Damn You!!!!
I can’t even be mad, when I don’t know who to gear my anger towards
You don’t understand my sanity keeps me cool when I wanna act a fool
My sanity sad no when I was considering shit that would have caused harm to me and you
My sanity keeps me kosher, when I say I’m going crazy cause I haven’t seen the smile on my daughter’s face
My sanity says let it go, when I’m thinking of lost loves my mind has yet to erase
Its sanity that keeps us sane, but if you haven’t lost it and its still crazy
Who should you blame?

Somebody tell me…..Where in the hell did my sanity go?

My sanity, man…I tell you sometimes he can be so rude
If he was leaving, common courtesy would have said let me know what he’s going to do
I calmly hit him on the jack……Please come back

So sanity you just gon’ leave and not even give me a heads up?

I know it’s crazy, but with or without you..I refuse to be lackadaisical
Sanity, you left me… without letting me know or even asking for permission
Whether I can continue without you…..guess that’s my decision.

My dealings have been dominating my destiny

While my mind has been running in the wind

And if these thoughts grind til a million pieces

That’ll prove whose truly of wolves or mere men

They say we were born in sin

Voices tell me we were put here to win

If life tends to end in anything otherwise

It was none of right or wrong

but only one ourselves who  had decided

Must we replay the script, change the stage masked with another

and If you have to play the game this time do it like no other

Rifled in spirit yet  trifled in heart the coldness of a soul

Has never been left in the cold…funny ain’t it.

Call me crazy…until you ask why?

And if mine does return to the pleasures of the east

Matters of the least standby

Sheep left hanging we can only ‘prey’ they stand clear

Just know the wolves saw it coming

And it was that  bird’s eye view that controlled the lift and held steer

Riding the freeway passing the flask to you, you take 2 sips,
makin’ sure I Steer her right
As my hand slides in between those hips
Not saying I drive and drink,
I just like to ride and think….LOL
Love when you giggle, rub my hand, & give me those eyes…..mmmm delicious.
I can tell that you’re tipsy,
We don’t have to make it to our destination for you to kiss me.
I’ll pull over right here if you feel the heat,
I got a blanket for the hood, plus there’s plenty of backseat.

I don’t want no good girl, they ain’t good for me….
Bad girls offer so much more excitement you see.
Besides I need a remedy for my A.D.H.D.

Is it right for me to hinder you, knowing what you’ve been thru,
Or should I be a fill-in so the next no good brother doesn’t sweet-talk you
Sweep you off your feet, only to not catch you in return.
Love is something I yearn….but not right now
I’d much rather just make you smile…
As long as you can keep me on my toes.
But she can’t be lazy, her motivation & support has to drive me crazy.
Only cause she pushes me to do more…her mind I want to explore
Financial security and doing all those freaky things are plus,
I just need you to get loud every once and while…..just so I can tell you hush.

You can grab it in public, girl I ain’t scared.
But when I tell you “I’m ready, and let’s sneak to the dressing room…be prepared.
